He Set The Bar

Papa is a man of God who has set the standard for how I measure everything - how I treat my wife, my children, how patient I am, and how much dedication I am showing. He is the bar to which I have looked for all of these things. This man has loved my sister and I more than we deserve or could ever comprehend. I am truly blessed to have had him in my life. I have many fond memories. Every single one of them is beautful and rich. One memory I will never forget is when Papa and Granny would sit on their porch stairing out towards my fathers house. They would sit there knowing my sister and I would see them and run over to play or just be loved by them.

I will never forget my time with Papa as I flew out to stay with him and Granny for a few days. I would help him care for Granny while thinking, "If I can treat my wife half as well as he does, I will have succeeded." I have never met anyone to this day that has loved their wife more than he did. Their relationship was a true picture of Jesus and the Church...always serving.

I will always love you, Papa. Just as you have told me time and time again, I now tell you...you've done good, Papa...you 've done good.
