Jerry O Hoover

Jerry O Hoover, 76, of Elkview, went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2017.

Jerry was born October 12, 1940 at Blue Creek, to Harry and Della Hoover.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sharron Short Hoover, his baby daughter Sharron Lee, three sisters, two brothers.

He is survived by his son, David (Catherine) Hoover of Sutton; daughters, Robin Clendenin (Gary Mehaffey) of Waynesville, NC and Leslie Hoover of South Charleston; grandsons, Clayton (Kielle) Clendenin of Greensboro, N.C. and Luke (Ashley) Clendenin of Foster, WV, five great grandchildren, and a special friend Lydia Pierson of Elkview.

Jerry was a 1959 graduate of Elkview High School and a heavy equipment mechanic all of his life.

A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Christ Church United Methodist on Main St., Sutton, WV at 2 pm.
