Gary Wayne Parrish, 75, of Charleston passed away Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
He was retired as a meat cutter for 30 years at J.A. Wendling. Gary was a graduate of Elkview High School and enjoyed working at Coonskin Park during the summer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dayton Lee and Macel Carnes Parrish; step-sons, Kevin and "Dumpy" Welch; brother, Robert; sister, Reba Faye, Nora.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Brenda Hoover Parrish; sons, Butch (Chris) Parrish, Bubby (Pam) Parrish, Randy and Michael (Theresa) Parrish; daughter, Sandy (Chuck) Neese; step-daughters, Becky (Tim) Botkin, Sherrie (Gary) Strickland; brothers, Herschel and Curtis Parrish; sisters, Doris, Genevieve and Brenda . Also surviving is several grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Service will be 2:00 pm Friday, Nov. 4, 2016 at the Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Swor officiating. Burial will be in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
