Jason Alexander Leadmon, 41, of Clendenin went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 20, 2015 at CAMC General Hospital, Charleston.
Jason worked at the National Guard Armory in Dunbar as the building maintenance mechanic. He accepted Jesus as his savior. He attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Elkview. Jason enjoyed fishing especially cat fishing. He graduated from Dupont High School and Oklahoma Farrier College. He won multiple state and world championships titles, for pole bending and barrel racing. He was a member for many years of American Quarter Horse Association, the American Paint Horse Association, and the National Barrel Horse Association.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William Herbert Belcher and Ruby Belcher; paternal grandparent, Ruby Leadmon; aunt, Jeannette Truman.
Jason is survived by his loving wife of 17 years Amy Fisher Leadmon; son, Jake Leadmon at home; parents, Gary and Deana Belcher Leadmon; brother, Benjamin Leadmon; nephew, Luke Leadmon; grandfather, Calvin Leadmon; aunt, Sharon Halstead.
Service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015 with Pastor Lee Swor officiating. Burial will be in the Woody Cemetery, Elkview.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
