Sylvia Jewell Slack
Sylvia Jewell Slack 87, went home to be with the Lord April 14, 2014 at CAMC General Hospital after a short illness.
She was a very active member in her Church, Church of Christ, Clendenin, WV; she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, enjoyed outdoors and the love of her life was her family. She formerly worked as a Sales Clerk at Dalton’s Department Store in Clendenin.
She was born May 2, 1926 to the late Curb Ashworth and Sarah Florence Adkins Ashworth. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John D. Slack and a daughter Lana Spears.
She is survived by her daughter, Trudy Hendricks.
Grandchildren Darren ,Paige, Brian, Jeremy and Danielle and 5 great grandchildren.
Services will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Hafer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wayne Teel officiating. Burial will follow at Clendenin Memorial Park, Clendenin, WV
Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
