Obituary for Hilma Francis Goddard (Good)
Hilma Francis Goddard (nee Good), 90, passed away April 28, 2023.
She was born in Frame, WV to the late Francis Azel and Mary Jane (Canterbury) Good and she was one of twelve children.
Hilma is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, David Goddard; daughter, Angela "Angel" Goddard Ocheltree; sisters, Helen Good, Hester Goddard, and Hilda Pauley; brothers, Harold, Hugh, Holley, Hayvord, Hubert, and Harry Good.
She is survived by her daughter Georgette McKee (Chris); six grandchildren, Matthew (Christina) McKee, Michael (Casey) McKee, Erin Ocheltree Bowman (Drew), Megan Ocheltree Kirkland (Taylor), Hunter Ocheltree (Blair), and Kyle Ocheltree (Corie); nine great grandchildren, Micah and Freya McKee, Dawson McKee, Greer and India Bowman, Waylon, Andi, Everett, and Forrest Kirkland; and brothers, Hullet and Hillard (Kermit) Good and dozens of nieces and nephews.
Hilma was a 1951 graduate of Clendenin High School. She worked for C&P Telephone company prior to becoming a full time homemaker and mother. She was a avid seamstress and loved jigsaw puzzles and old movies. She loved West Virginia and the Elk River community and could not imagine living anywhere else.
The family would like to thank the staff of Ohio Valley Manor, of Ripley, OH. and Maysville Hospice of Hope for the wonderful care and support she received.
A graveside service will begin 1pm, Friday, May 5, 2023 at Elk Hills Memorial Park, with Pastor Tommy Bartlett officiating. She will be entombed at Elk Hills Mausoleum, Big Chimney.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ohio Valley Manor or the Alzheimer's Association in her memory.
