Obituary for George Edward Smith Sr.
George Edward Smith, 84, of Elkview passed away April 5, 2023 surrounded by his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Uhl & Opal Smith; sisters, Arbutus "Boots" Taylor, Betty Parson, Geraldean Taylor, Mary Pauley, Martha Vanneter, and Linda Hoover; and brothers, Larry Smith, Dorsel Smith, Gene Smith, and Austen Lee Smith.
George was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and devoted Christian. He enjoyed hunting and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Brenda Smith; son's, Ed (Connie) Smith and David (Luwana) Smith; daughters, Melissa (Tim) Huffman and Andrea Jarrett; brother, Jack Smith; sisters, Elizabeth Issel and Janice Vaughan; eight grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.
A service will begin 1pm, Monday April 10, 2023 at Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Edens officiating. A private burial will be follow at Elk Hills Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 11:30am - 1pm at the funeral home.
