Obituary for Shirley Faye Cobb
Shirley Faye “Connie” Cobb 91, daughter of Phillip Russell “PR” Rucker and Fannie Naylor Rucker, passed away March 3, 2023 at Charleston Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV.
Connie was a graduate of Clendenin High School. Following graduation she obtained a license in cosmetology. Connie was a skilled cosmetologist and had many loyal customers and made many good friends in her beauty shop in Clendenin, WV.
She is survived by her son Randy (Rebecca) Elswick and daughter Jeanne Belcher; four grandchildren: Joshua Belcher (Susie Busby), Matthew (Allison) Elswick, Emily (Ryan) McLemore, and Jessica (Jason) Hanna; and four great-grandchildren: Spencer and Dawson Elswick and Oliver and Parrish McLemore.
In addition to her parents Connie was preceded in death by spouses Jesse Ray Elswick, Jr. and Arthur Eugene Cobb, son-in-law Chuck Belcher, and infant grandson, Bryan Scott Belcher. Also brothers: Raymond, Donald, Russell “Jake,” and Larry Rucker; sisters: Radie Ferrell, Ruby Morrison, Erma Rucker, Blanche Hill, Madeline Rucker, Oreda Mick, and Wilma McQuain.
Family graveside prayer and burial at Koontz Cemetery in Clendenin, WV on March 8, 2023, Pastor Lee Swor officiating. Memorials for Connie may be made to a church or charity of one's choice.
