Ruth D. Haynes 83, of Charleston went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 3, 2022 at CAMC Memorial Hospital.
Ruth attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, where she enjoyed volunteering her time, she would also volunteer for the American Red Cross. She loved craft shows, gardening, flowers, and quilting. Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, she will be missed by all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Raymond Dempsey and Lucille Crist, sisters; Eva Justice, and Lois Kelley.
She is survived by her son; Kevin (Janese) Haynes of Charleston, daughters; Joyce Stanley of Indiana, Debbie Kinder of Charleston, brother; Kenneth (Linda) Dempsey of Ohio, sister Renee (Jacob) Morley of Pennsylvania, grandchildren; Krystle Beals (Trever) of Indiana, Andrea Stanley of Indiana, and Steven Haynes of Charleston.
A funeral service will be at 11:00am on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow at Elk Hills Memorial Park in Big Chimney.
Visitation will be from 10:00am-11:00am on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Hafer Funeral Home in Elkview.
