Obituary for Barbara Jean Melton
Barbara Jean Melton, age 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 4, 2022, in Charleston, WV. Ms Melton was a lifelong resident of Elkview, WV and was preceded in death by her parents Darlene and Wayne Daugherty and her husband of 50 years, Hansford F. Melton.
She was an administrative assistant to Sophia Pappas, Vice President of Stone & Thomas in Charleston for over thirty years and later employed by Chesapeake Oil and Gas.
Ms Melton is survived by cousins Stephen and Michelle Barron, Vicky Davidson and Sandi Kovacevich, sister in law Peggy Lucas and niece Lisa Burgess.
A graveside service will be held for family and close friends at Jarrett Cemetery in Elkview on Monday, August 8.
