Deloris May Tawney
Deloris May Tawney, 82, of Elkview, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, July 6, 2022.
She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great & great great grandmother. Deloris had been a resident of Meadowbrook Nursing Center and a member of Garrison Ave. Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Weldon and Ruby Welch; sister, Maxine Huffman; brother, Dexter Welch; and son-in-law, Woodrow Townsend.
Deloris is survived by her children, Larry (Patsy) Tawney, Laken Tawney, Joyce (Chris) McBrayer, Clifford Tawney, Janet Townsend, and Vickie (Harley) Blankenship; twenty grandchildren; forty-seven great grandchildren; and thirteen great-great grandchildren
A service will begin 1pm, Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Hafer Funeral Home, with Rev. John Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at White Oak Cemetery, Pinch, WV.
Visitation will be 11:00am - 1pm at the funeral home.
