Obituary for Harry Gerald Netzer Jr.
Harry Gerald Netzer Jr, 68, of Charleston WV passed away July 4 2022 at home.
Harry was a loving father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry & Mildred, and sister Nancy McGinnis. He is survived by his children: Melissa (Mahlon), Harry and Amanda. Grandchildren Triniti, Amber and Aksum. Sisters Martha Ostman, Carol Kidd and Becky Robinson. Special nieces Lisa Goodwin and Dawn Carpenter, and many other nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School class of 1971. After graduation, he served an enlistment in the United States Army where he achieved the rank of Specialist. He later attended Morris Harvey College School of Drafting.
He was an avid gardener and well known for having a green thumb. He took pride in attracting lots of birds and wildlife. His bird feeders were always stocked with sunflower seeds and hummingbird water. He was especially proud of the orange tree he has taken care of for nearly 50 years. He was an amazingly talented carpenter and wood-worker who could build nearly anything.
Funeral Service will be 10am, Friday July 8, 2022 at Hafer Funeral home with Rev. Mahlon Dungey officiating. Burial will follow at the Spring Hill Cemetery.
A viewing will be held 9am-10am Friday July 8 at Hafer Funeral home.
