Obituary for William Joseph Kelley
William Kelley, 77, of Elkview passed away peacefully June 16, 2022 at CAMC Memorial Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Betty Kelley and brother David Kelley.
William loved his family and spending time with them. While working with the WV DOH, he served as project engineer on the WV Turnpike/Memorial Tunnel Bypass. He retired with 43 years of service. He also enjoyed bowling, playing pool, and was an avid Dodgers Baseball fan. Bill was a long-time member of Jarrett Memorial UMC where he served in multiple positions.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sharon Kelley; children Melissa Kelley of Elkview, Amy (Billy) Swedock of Teays Valley; and sister Lee Ann (Mike) Troyan of Elkview.
A memorial service will begin at 4:30 PM on Monday, June 20, 2022 at Jarrett Memorial UMC, 19 Jarrett St., Elkview, with Pastor Robert Fulton officiating.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Jarrett Memorial UMC.
