Elton Wesley “Wes” King Jr.
Elton Wesley “Wes” King Jr., 78 of Elkview went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2022 surrounded by his family.
He graduated from Elkview High School in 1962. He retired from United Parcel Service with 30 years of service. He also retired from West Virginia Air National Guard with 20 years of service. He attended Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elton Wesley King Sr. and Freeda King; sister, Kay Miracle; niece, Gayle Reynolds; and brothers-in-law, Jim Sampson and Jim Copenhaver.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Donna King; daughters, Beth (Tim) Palmer and Joni (Tommy) Bailey; grandsons, Tyler (McCrae) Palmer, Patrick Mikeal, Teddy and Joseph Bailey; great-granddaughter, Alivia Palmer; sisters-in-law, Betty Sampson and Nancy Copenhaver; nephews, Scott Miracle and Michael (Tamara) Miracle.
The service will begin at 2:00pm on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Swor officiating. Entombment will follow at Elk Hills Memorial Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
