Obituary for Dorothy Jane Dye (Sweeney)
Dorothy Jane Dye, 90, of Elkview passed away at her home Tuesday, April 19th, 2022. She was born in Queen Shoals, WV to the late James Bernard and Emma Marie Sweeney.
Dorothy earned her teaching degree from Morris Harvey College where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi Sorority and also attended West Virginia State College. She worked and retired as a teacher for the Kanawha County Schools. Dorothy was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed gardening and loved her dog Precious Pup.
In addition to her parents Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband John W. Dye.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Mary Jane Wheeling; sons David Dye and Joe Dye, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
At Dorothy's request there will be no services.
