Mason L. Pendleton
Heaven gained an angel with the passing of Mason L. Pendleton, 89, of Elkview on March 31, 2022 at home after a short illness.
Mason was born to the late Arthur Pendleton and Nannie Croy-Pendleton of Beaver, WV, where he grew up. He graduated from Shady Springs High School, and Southeastern University. He was retired from NL Industries in Charleston, WV. He was an Air Force veteran. He loved to golf with his Nation Guard, UPS, and Florida friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Peggy Pendleton, his parents; his sisters, Ruth Hartwig, Fannie Lilly, Pauline Jackson, and his brother Paul Pendleton.
He is survived by his daughter; Debra Rhodes (Rodger) of Elkview, WV, his son; Stephon Lee Pendleton of Pinch, WV, and his sister; Hazel Lowe, grandchildren Brent Rhodes (Kelli), Kelly Davis and Jessie Pendleton (Katrina), great-grandchildren Hunter and Braxton Rhodes, Rylee DaVita, Tabitha and Noah Harrison and Nicholas and Courtney Davis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A graveside service will begin at 2:00pm, Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Elk Hills Memorial Park, with Pastor Ben Fowler officiating.
