On Saturday, March 5, 2022, Ricky Lee Painter, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away unexpectedly at home and was greeted in paradise by his dog, "Suede".
Ricky was born to Irland and Joan Painter on October 12, 1957. He was preceded in death by his father.
Ricky retired from Kanawha Manufacturing Company in 2012, with 36 years of service as a machinist. Ricky was a "simple" man who loved motorcycles. Most of the time you would find him out in his garage tinkering.
Ricky is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Joyce Painter; one and only son and daughter in law, Jeremy and Michele Painter; his pride and joy who loved him very much, granddaughters, Lydia and Chloe Painter. Also surviving, is his mother, Joan Painter; sisters, Diane Booth and Stephanie Cooper; brother, Ronnie Painter, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
In honor of Ricky's request, he will be cremated and no funeral service. A celebration of life will be planned at a future date by his family.
