Stevie Allen Riggs
Stevie Allen Riggs, 68, of Elkview passed away on Thursday, May 27th at CAMC Memorial Hospital.
He was an avid outdoorsmen who enjoyed hunting, and fishing. He worked as a self employed mecanic, trash man for Hizer Trucking, and for Clendenin Lumber. Stevie enjoyed joking and making everyone around him laugh. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren who were the love of his life. He is going to be missed by all of his friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his daughter; Amanda Kay Riggs, father; Reese Oscar Riggs, brothers; Benjamin Dale, and Richard "Dickie", as well as sister; Ellen Lynn Stewart.
Stevie is survived by his loving wife; Charlotte Marie Riggs, son; Reese Benson Riggs, daughter; Carla Riggs Strickland, mother; Velma Riggs, brothers; Ronald Eugene, Robert Wesley, sister; Patty Strickland. He is also survived by six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be at 2pm on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Hager officiating. Burial will follow at Riggs Cemetery on Jordan Creek.
Visitation will be from 12-2pm on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Hafer Funeral Home.
