Sonny was one of my quiet heroes when I was growing up in Elkview. He was a giant of a man who didn't speak often when I was around but when he did, the world stopped. He ran is own business, had an amazing home, a wonderful wife and four great children. He understood automotive mechanics better than anyone I knew and also knew how to relax and enjoy life fishing and boating. He introduced me to music in a way I'd never heard it. I distinctly recall sitting in his living room listening to the new album from Fleetwood Mac called Tusk and hearing the marching band in surround sound stereo. As a young boy watching the world around him, Sonny Tabor was someone I greatly admired and who taught me lessons of hard work, family, and humor that have been with me my entire life.

I express my deepest condolences to Sonny's family. All of them are in my deepest prayers and my heart shares their loss. He is missed but leaves great memories none of us will forget. Much love.
