Dear Freda, Jeri Lynn, Jeff and Sherry,

We were saddened to hear of Uncle Jerry's passing. My brothers and sister and I were on the phone last night sharing stories of him. The one that stands out most is when Uncle Jerry asked Craig to wash the potatoes down at the riverside during a camping trip. While these same potatoes were cooking under Uncle Jerry's supervision, bubbles from the soap Craig had used on the potatoes began to grow in the pan. Jerry laughed so hard at this his toothpick fell out of his mouth. Great times!

I haven't seen you all for a long time but it seems like only yesterday we were at the Jerry's Bakery competing to see who would lick the bowl.

Take care and hope to see you soon.......

Freda:
My sincerest sympathies and prayers to you and your family for the loss of your husband, Jerry. Though I did not know him well, I haven’t forgotten the dozen golf balls he sent me many years ago. He was a very caring man. May he RIP. 🙏

Dear Freda and Family, just wanted to let you know how sorry I am to read of Jerry's passing in this morning's paper. Many many years ago, when he had his small shop on Washington Street, I would stop in and buy cupcakes and rolls. I didn't know Jerry but he was the type of person I would have loved to have known. Love and prayers to you.

I am so sad to read that this sweet gentleman has passed. We (my first husband, Jim Wilson) and I met him when we moved to Charleston. In following years I met Freda, Sherry and Jerry through nursing careers. I know you will miss him so very much. He loved his family. Please know my sorrow is sincere and hope your memories of times together will comfort you.

I want to Express My Sincere Condolences to the Family of Jerry. He was a Special Man and a Blessing to know. I became associated with Jerry through Mt. Tabor UMC during the time he was the Biscuit Man at our Men's Breakfast. He was a Man who would brighten your day with His Wonderful Smile. My Thoughts and Prayers are with the Family.
