Obituary for Sandra Kay Ferrell
Sandy Ferrell passed away Saturday April 24, 2021 at the age of 48 years. She was born Sandra Kay Slater on March 11, 1973 in Charleston WV to Frank and MaryAnn Slater.
Sandy was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a daughter. She was a free spirt that could always make you laugh. Sandy was a happy, smart, beautiful and funny soul. She was always there when a friend needed her right to the end.
Sandy was preceded in death by her husband Donald Mason Ferrell who passed 4 days before Sandy; her father Franklin D. Slater; Sister Mary Cathrine (Cathy) Grace; Grandmother Virgie Gill and Grandfather Elmer Woods.
Sandy is survived by her daughters, Sydney Slater, Jillian (Zach Harper) Slater, Courtney and Britney Ferrell her beloved fur baby Tiki Tot; Grandchildren, Keegun and Zayden Robinson-Box, Gunner Lowe, Arianna Shelton, and Tristen Roseberry; Mother, MaryAnn Slater; Sisters, Becky (Bobby) Pomeroy, Susan (John) Wilson; Nieces and Nephews, Samantha (Andy) Walters, Josh Myers, RJ (Brooke) Pomeroy, Tyler Pomeroy, Isaac, Christian and Gabrielle Grace, Alyssa, William, and Wyatt Wilson; Great Nieces and Nephews, James Walters, Kylee Myers Copen, Jaycelyn Myers, Kolby and Audrey Pomeroy. She also had a very large extended family of uncles, aunts and cousins.
A visitation will be held from 2:00PM-3:00PM on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Hafer Funeral Home.
Any donation will be greatly appreciated and very helpful as Sandy had no life insurance.
Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic in our state, it is mandated by the Governor and the CDC that proper facial coverings be worn and that social distancing be observed.
