In this time of year in which our Savior's birth is celebrated, my family and I mourn the death of my beloved son, Johnny. His sudden passing has left a void in our lives which shall never be filled, for Johnny can never be replaced in our lives and in our hearts. The Good Lord has given me many blessings in my life, but the gift of my children and the gift of Johnny are among the greatest blessings I have been given.
While we are shocked and saddened by the sudden and unexplainable death of our beloved son, brother, husband, father and grandfather, we take solace in the fact of Johnny's faith in the Lord was firm and the Bible teaches us that the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus Our Lord for those who believe.
So while we are grieving Johnny's death, we must also celebrate Johnny's life and the precious time we all spent together as a family. I thank the Lord for granting me such a special gift with the children he gave me. Johnny will forever live in my heart and the hearts of our family until we are together again in heaven.

I first met John when he joined Mott MacDonald so I only knew him a few years. I am six months older than John and later learned we had many childhood friends in common. He was kind of a kindred spirit.
People come and go during our lives. But there are some people that touch the lives of others in such a way that they are never forgotten, no matter how long they are gone. John was such a person. He was more than a co-worker.
He was my friend.
I will never forget him.
