Woodrow "Woody" W. Williams Jr.

On Tuesday, April 28, 2020 Woodrow "Woody" W. Williams Jr., loving husband and father of four children, passed away at the age of 82, at Kings Daughters Hospital in Ashland, KY.

He was born on October 17, 1937 at Villa Route, Charleston, WV to Woodrow Wilson and Helen Madge (Meadows) Williams Sr. He was the 3rd of their 17 children. He was educated in Charleston area schools and was retired from Allegheny Freight Lines.

Woody always liked a good joke and loved to laugh and make others laugh. He always wanted everyone to "be happy, happy, happy". He loved watching and feeding the wildlife in his front yard and spending time with his dog, Peanut. He was also very proud of his grandson, Caleb.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Frances Lynch, Jean Lynch, Joanne Means, and Diane Williams; and brother, Wayne Williams.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sharon (Wanner) Williams; children, Gary Williams of Huntington, WV, Debbie (Tim) Berkhouse of Left Hand, WV, Mary Williams of St. Albans, WV, and Dr. Lisa Williams of Ashland, KY.; grandson, Caleb Berkhouse of Left Hand, WV; sisters, Carolyn Harrah of Tx, Betty (Ted) Koselke of Indiana, Linda (Terry) McIntosh of Indiana, Arlene (Bill) Haugen of Indiana, Connie (George) Buchanan of Washington; brothers, Ray (Lejeune) Williams of Elkview, WV, Steve (Joyce) Williams of Pinch, WV, Jackie (Sharon) Williams of Clendenin, WV, Rodney (Mary) Williams of Charleston, WV, Timmy Williams of Charleston, WV, and Randy Williams of Charleston, WV.

Due to the coronavirus concerns, the services will be a private for the family and the burial will be in Elk Hills Memorial Park. The Reverend Ray Williams will conduct the services.
