I knew Tom for at least 50 years. He served his country ,returned home , served his town as Mayor, served his State in the Legislature and then the County Commission. Public Service defined Tom. We are all so fortunate Tom passed our way. His friend, Cecil Roberts.

I remember going to WV to visit Granny and the Black family. Uncle Tom came to me to make sure I had enough money to get home. I know they did not have a lot. It touched me that he not only checked on me but was willing to share what he had to make sure that I was ok. He was a very giving man.
