Obituary for Emily Anne Blackwell (Campbell)
Emily Blackwell, 66, of Hurricane, formerly of Elkview, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at CAMC Teays Valley after a long illness.
Em will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and a friend to everyone she met. She loved gardening, chatting on the phone with friends and sitting on her front porch, drinking her famous sweet tea. She had more friends than you can count and loved them all. But her true love was her two grandsons.
Emily is preceded in death by her father, Samuel Mark Campbell. She is survived by her beautiful mother, Elizabeth Anne Clemmer Campbell of Hurricane; her wonderful daughters, Fawn (Jonathan) Atkins of Scott Depot; Holli Blackwell of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Val (Fred) Blackwell of Hurricane, Bev (Barry) Wheatcraft of Big Chimney; grandchildren Oliver and Crew Atkins; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
We welcome all who knew Em to celebrate her life by joining her family on Monday, November 18, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 in the Hearth Room at the Coonskin Clubhouse.
