Carol Lynn Barnhill
Carol Lynn Barnhill, 72, of Elkview went to be with her Lord, and Savior on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Charleston General Hospital.
Carol was employed by C&P Telephone Company/Verizon working in Charleston, Parkersburg, and Beckley in various supervisory capacities over a long career. She was a member of Elkview Baptist Church for 40 years and worked with the Awana Club in church. She was very active in her community being a member of Telecom Pioneers, the Women's Business Sorority, Eastern Star, she was also a consultant for Mary Kay. Carol was on the Elkview All Class Committee and Elk District Local Historical Society.
Carol is preceded in death by both of her parents James Robert and Julia Hunter Barnhill, brothers; William Edward, James Ronald and Robert Lee Barnhill.
She is survived by brother; Larry Eugene Barnhill of Huntington, sister; Patricia Barnhill Brown (Eugene) of Raleigh, NC, nieces and nephews; Ginger Barnhill Marshall of Orlando, FL, Bill Barnhill Jr., West Melbourne, FL, Scott Alan Barnhill, of Orlando FL, Diana Gunter of Stokesdale, NC, Michelle Bruner of Cary, NC, and David Michael Brown, of Woodbridge, VA along with a host of cousins and special cousin Barb Montgomery, and numerous good friends. The family extends a special thanks to Cousin Barb Montgomery and best friend Alice Atkinson who were there for Carol's passing and to the many friends who have reached out to us as we share our memories and support each other in our sadness. Thanks also to Edgewood Summit as well as Caitlyn, Lillian and the staff of the MICU at Charleston General for the care that was provided to Carol and for lifting the family.
Service will be Friday at 2:00pm on May 31st, 2019 at Elkview Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Bias and Pastor Cliff Curry officiating with interment at Elk Hills Memorial Park following the service.
Visitation Friday May 31st, 2019 from 12-2pm at Elkview Baptist Church.
