Bettie F. Schoolcraft

Bettie F. Schoolcraft, 79, of South Charleston, formerly of Clendenin, passed away, Friday, March 8, 2019 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

She retired as a Heart Monitor Tech with CAMC Memorial Hospital, and worked as a beautician. Bettie was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, Charleston. Where she was active in the Church fundraising. She enjoyed decorating her house, working in her garden and spending time with her family. Bettie was a member of the Bufflick Good Neighbors Club; and was also a member of the Clendenin High School Alumni Association.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Lewis Schoolcraft; parents, Porter Rucker and Clara Davis Rucker; siblings, Roy Rucker, Evelyn Miller, Eloise "Pid" Shafer, and Emerson Rucker.

Bettie is survived by her children, Joni Schoolcraft Dearien Harless, Todd Schoolcraft (Kelly), Scott Schoolcraft (Jennifer); siblings, Virginia Mace, Larna Hawkins, Barbara Chandler, Sue Cook, Homer Rucker; grandchildren, Graham Dearien (Meghan), Seth Dearien, Sydni Harless, Sam Schoolcraft (Dallis), Hannah Schoolcraft, Nate Schoolcraft, Madison Schoolcraft, Alex Schoolcraft; great grandchildren, Cassius Dearien and Silas Dearien. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be 1:00 pm Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the Church of God of Prophecy, Charleston with Pastor Seth Flemming officiating.

Visitation will be One hour prior to the service at the Church of God of Prophecy, 4916 Venable Avenue, Charleston.
