Obituary for Edith Irene Vance
Edith Irene Vance, 90, of Charleston passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at her residence.
She was a homemaker and babysat several children in the community through the years. She was a member of Spradling Gospel Tabernacle, Charleston. Thru the years she loved collecting different kinds of flowers and watching them grow and she received much joy from her beautiful flowers.
Edith is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Vance; parents, William Light and Bertha Kessinger Light; siblings, Roger Light, Norma Moss and Esther Vance; grandchild, Jamie Vance.
She is survived by her loving children, Raymond Vance, Jr. (Linda), Jerry Vance (Linda); Daniel Vance (Anet); brother, James Light; sister, Faye Cottrell; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Also survived by her faithful companion her dog, Toby.
Service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at the Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Boggs officiating. Burial will be in Elk Hills Memorial Cemetery, Big Chimney.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
