Obituary for Hubert V. Carpenter
Hubert V. "Dude" Carpenter, 75, of Elkview passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2019 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston.
He was a retired Crew Boss from Oil and Gas Industry, and served his country in the US Army. Hubert is preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Carpenter; parents Hubert M. Carpenter and Della Vada Jones Carpenter; siblings, Emily Jordan, Jack Carpenter and Richard Carpenter.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Judith Hissom Carpenter; sons, Hubert Carpenter, Jr., Shawn "Snapper" (Kelly) Carpenter; daughter, Tonya Carpenter; brothers, Bob and Paul Carpenter; sisters, Betty Chapman and Genevieve Paxton; grandchildren, Justin Smith, Derek Carpenter, Taylor Samuel, Shatona Bishop, Taylor Carpenter, Emilee Carpenter; great grandchildren, Aubreanna Samuel, Jocie Simpson.
Service will be 11:00 am, Friday, Jan. 25, 2019 at the Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Gordy Kilion officiating. Burial will be in the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar.
Visitation will be 6pm to 8pm, Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the funeral home.
