Bonnie Jean Jarrett
Bonnie Jean Jarrett, age 81, died suddenly on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at her home in Elkview.
Bonnie was born May 12, 1937 at her grandmother's home in Blue Creek, W.V., daughter of the late Mack and Ethel Wilson Myers.
A wife, mother, granny, and home maker, Bonnie was an excellent cook and baker. She loved to watch food and cooking channels.
Bonnie was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Bobby Gene Jarrett and her grandson, Jonathan Chandler.
She is survived by her children and their spouses; Vickie Devitt, Joetta Frame (George), Jeff Jarrett, Greg Jarrett (Julie); 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Humphrey of Elkview. The family gives Shirley their greatest gratitude for being moms constant companion and caregiver. They shared a very special bond and Shirley treated mom like a china doll.
Thank you for choosing to be a mother, but mostly for being our mom. You might not have always agreed with us but you were always there for us.
Rest in peace, Dear mom, for you have earned it. Our last wish is that you and Dad are together forever.
The family will receive family and friends from 6-8pm Friday, January 11th at Hafer Funeral Home in Elkview.
Funeral service will be at 1pm Saturday, January 12th at Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Burdette.
Interment will follow service at Elk Hills Memorial Park in Big Chimney.
