Obituary for Leola "Kitty" Catherine Taylor

Leola Catherine Taylor (Kitty) from Nitro, West Virginia, succumbed her battle with colon cancer on Friday, November 30, 2018. She was 74 years old.

Kitty was a veteran and served her country as a MP in the U.S. Army Corps. She retired from Rhone-Poulenc in West Virginia and Learjet in Arizona. Kitty is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Wright and mother, Leola Hudson, and Teddy Taylor, father of her children. She is survived by her two daughters, Sheila Cota (Earnest) and Sherry Hatten, both of Tucson, Arizona; brother, Fred Hudson (Connie); sisters, Phyllis Hudson, Alice Yeomans, Debbie Hudson and Vivien Scriptunas (Walter); nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Kitty was full of life and energy. She was an enthusiastic soul. Her passions were spending time with friends and family and traveling. She was a member of the St. Albans Moose Lodge and enjoyed being involved in the community. She was of Christian faith. Kitty will be missed by so many, but she is now home with her Heavenly Father.

Service will be 1:00 pm Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018 at the Hafer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
