Carol Ann Harper, 71, of Pinch passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, after a long illness.

She had worked for the Department of Employment Security for the State of WV, at the Elk Refinery, Clendenin and sold Avon for 31 years. In her early years, Carol Ann was a member of Blue Creek Advent Christian Church, she was the pianist and traveled with the church choir. In recent years, she had attended Antioch Advent Christian Church, Aaron's Fork. Carol enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters, who called her "GiGi". She also liked to watch humming birds from her porch, work in her flower garden and enjoyed the company of her Boston Terrier dogs.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis "Louie" G. Harper, Jr.; parents, Ira B. Meadows and Dorothy E. Carte Meadows; half-brother, Bill Carte.

Carol Ann is survived by her sons, Mark Harper and wife, Krislyn of Elkview, and Dale Harper of Pinch; half-sister, Georgialeah Buzzard of Florida; grandchildren, Kaylyn and Alayna Harper.

Service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018 at Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Nahum Balser officiating.

Burial will be at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday, Nov. 23, 2018 at the funeral home.
