Donald Gene Isaacs

Donald Gene Isaacs, 74, of Charleston went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at home, with his family by his side.

He was born in Kentucky, to his late parents, Arlie and Barbie Isaacs. Donald was also preceded in death by his son; Kenneth Ray Isaacs; daughter, Deanna Kay Isaacs; brothers, Lowell Isaacs, Meryl Isaacs, Virgil Isaacs, Raymon Isaacs, and Kenneth Wayne Isaacs; sisters, Jo Ann Madden and Lena Mae Isaacs; and father-in-law, Rev. O.L. Shepherd.

Donald served his country in the US Army. He worked and retired from Union Carbide, and also worked at Advance Auto. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and also enjoyed woodworking and crafts. Donald loved spending time with family and was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Janice Shepherd Isaacs; sons, Tommy (Denice) Isaacs and Jonathan Isaacs; daughter, Sheryl Isaacs; daughter-in-law, Katrina Isaacs; brothers, James (Kathy) Isaacs and Roy Isaacs; grandchildren, Logan Isaacs, Hayden Isaacs, Shelbi Isaacs, Ashley Isaacs, Matthew Hancock, and Megan Hancock; and mother-in-law, Sylvia Shepherd.

A service will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Hafer Funeral Home, with Rev. Arthur Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at the Hoffman Pauley Cemetery, Coopers Creek.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
