Charles William Knapp 88, of Charleston went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

Charles was loving family man. He was a proud Army Veteran, who served during the Korean War from 1949-1953 and held the rank of Corporal. He was a retired pipeliner and worked for Carl Smith. Charles enjoyed gardening, playing the piano and working with his hands whenever he had spare time especially mechanic work rebuilding old engines.

Charles was proceeded in death by his wife, Jenny Knapp. His parents Harry C. Knapp and Iola J. Bare. Charles four sisters Vickie, Joy, Betty and Marg all preceded him in death.

He is survived by his daughter, Helen Joy of Cross Lanes; brother: Bill Knapp; sister, Helen Baker of Columbus OH; and Grandchild, Dawn

Graveside service will be 2:00pm Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Ravenswood Cemetery, Ravenswood, WV.
With Pastor Mayford Witt officiating. Visitation will be half hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
