Freda Jones, 89, of Elkview passed away on Friday, Sept. 21, 2018 at her residence.

Freda was affectionately known as Granny to her family and friends. Her great grandson, Dylan stated so well, "I know, heavens garden will have never looked so beautiful because I know Granny will stay there picking weeds and shaping bushes you will forever be missed we love you Granny."

She is preceded in death by her husband, Opie E. Jones; daughter, Penny Sue Curry; and several brother and sisters.

Granny is survived by her son, Mark Jones; grandchildren, Jill, Neil, Amy, Paul and Sarah; ten great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; sisters, Mae Cummings and Audrey Weese.

Service will be 2:00 pm Monday, Sept 24, 2018 at the Hafer Funeral Home with Minister Danny McClung officiating. Burial will be at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.

Visitation will be 12-2pm Monday, Sept. 24, 2018 at the funeral home.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Kanawha Hospice and Kathy Huffman and Kathy Bostic for the love and care that was given to mom.
