Gayle Warner Field Jr.

Gayle Warner Field Jr. 54, of Elkview, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at CAMC Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.

Gayle was born in Charleston and was an exceptional athlete in school, and was an avid fan of most sports. He really enjoyed supporting the Marshall sports program and followed Cincinnati Reds and the Dallas Cowboys. Gayle also liked the outdoors and had a passion for metal detecting, fishing, and nature. He was a member of the Union Labor Local 1353.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gayle Field Sr. and his brother Tom Markham; and niece Lisha.
Gayle is survived by his wife and soul mate of nearly 17 years, Mary Field; mother, Nancy Field; sister, Robin (Bill) Rutherford; niece, Lydia; elder brother, Scott Field; elder sister, Joanee McDurmett; and his buddy, "Buddy".

A service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, June 11, 2018 at Hafer Funeral Home with speaker Billy Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at the James H. Adkins family cemetery, at Meadow Bridge.

Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
