Margaret "Peggy" Elizabeth Lowe Flowers, 90, of Savannah, Georgia, died Friday evening, September 8, 2017, at home with her daughters by her side.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Leroy Flowers, and father, Silas V. Lowe, and mother, Maude Bentz Lowe.
Surviving are her five daughters, Debby Flowers, Cindi Hedrick, Kathie Miller, Sherry Flowers and Gayla Flowers; two grandsons, Travis Bare and Jeremy Flowers; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Bare, Lukas Flowers and Luna Flowers; cousins Lena Lowe Saba and Agnes Bentz Rose; and a number of very special nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
She will be sadly missed by close family friend Nancy Crittenden, who was also with her in her final hours.
Peggy graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School, and excelled at being a Mother and Homemaker.
She was an avid reader, a friend to animals, and loved watching football.
She was a wonderful Mother, and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Peggy will be laid to rest in Autumn, her favorite time of year.
A graveside service will be at 1PM Saturday, October 28, 2017 near Lowe Cemetery on Pequonia Drive in Elkview. The site of the service will be at the base of the hill in a more accessible location.
