Jimmie William Edens,

Jimmie William Edens, 78, of Elkview passed away August 3, 2015. He was born November 14, 1936 to the late John and Josie Edens.

He was a successful business owner, Edens General Grocery Store and State Timber, Inc. Jimmie was member of the Frame Advent Christian Church. He was also a member of the Elk Valley Coon Hunter's Association and the Nitro Antique Car Club. Jimmie was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need.

In addition to his parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by his loving wife Barbara Edens; brother Guy Edens and sister Jane Robertson.

Jimmie is survived by his sons, Jeff Edens of Myrtle Beach, SC and Doug (Debbie) Edens of Frame, WV; daughters, Sherry(Tim) Stuart of Acworth, GA and Ann(Stephane) Vandoit of Montpellier, France; brothers, John Edens of Frame, WV, Sam Edens of Santa Ana, California, and Okey Edens of Coal River; grandchildren Kristen (Max) Bringe, Lauren and Matthew Stuart, Jordan and Clayton Edens, Madeline and Dorian Vandoit.

Services will be 2:00 Friday, August 7, 2015 at Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Samms officiating. Burial will follow in the Edens Cemetery, Frame, WV.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the Funeral Home.
