Obituary for Virgil D. Eagle

Virgil D. Eagle
Virgil D. Eagle, 83 of Big Chimney, WV passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 at his home.
He was retired from Fruehauf with 9 years of service. He worked at Purity Maid Bakery for 26 years.
He was a 1950 graduate of Clay County High School. He was an army veteran and served in the Korean War , member of VFW Post 8516, American Legion Post 6l, Clendenin, WV. He enjoyed camping at Burnsville and gardening.
He was born August 18, 1930 to the late Everette and Lela Eagle. In addition to his parents, Virgil was preceded in death by his wife Pauline and sister Christena.
He is survived by his son, Tony of Pinch; daughter Tamra and her husband Ed of Pilot, VA.
Visitation will be 1:00-3:00 PM Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Hafer Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at Elk Hills Memorial Park with Pastor Frank Allen officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to American Legion Post 61, P. O. Box 903 Clendenin, WV, and Sand Run Gospel Tabernacle, 4616 Elk Shore Drive, Charleston, WV 25302.
