Roger L. Vaughan

Roger L. Vaughan, 75, of Quick passed away Friday, February 26, 2010 in Hubbard Hospice House.

He served his Country and Lord by serving time in the U.S. Air Force a member of the Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, Pinch always faithfully witnessing to people and helping the church. He retired from the State Department of Education as a data processor.

Roger was a well educated man having graduated from Morris Harvey, Marshall University and attending several other colleges. He attended Yale University and mastered the Chinese language using his knowledge of the language to spy for the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He is preceded in death by his son, Robert; parents, Ray Vaughan and Glada Bragg Vaughan; brothers, Larry and James “Bimbo”; sister, Jean Sirk.

Sons Brian and Lawrence “Pete” Vaughan

Siblings Garrett Vaughan, Terry “Teddy” Vaughan, Gloria Woods, Richard Vaughan, Joyce Samples, Harold Vaughan, Sharon Vaughan, Shyrle Samples, Jewell Browning

Granddaughter Sarah Vaughan Mullins

Great Grandchildren Callie, Evan and Khloe

Memorial Service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at the Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, Pinch with Rev. Danny Kinder officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
