Anita Gail Coon, 45, of Elkview passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018.

She is survived by her son, Christopher Lee Coon (fiance Alex Stiltner), father Roger Layton (Mavis) sister Tammy Layton and brother Jeremy Layton (fiance Audra Belcher). Anita was preceded in death by her mother, Diana Layton and her two (2) devoted companions, Nike and Sissy. She has two (2) nieces, Kayla (Shane) Wiseman and Brittany Washington and four (4) great nieces and one (1) great nephew.

Anita was an employee of St. Francis Hospital. She enjoyed the outdoors, her pets, and living a simple life.

Funeral Service will be 1:00pm, Monday, July 2nd at Hafer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Dunbar.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Charleston Humane Society, 1248 Greenbrier St, Charleston, WV 25311.
