Obyra Jean Morris, 82, of Elkview went home to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston.

She was born, August 27, 1935 in Roane County, WV to the late H.T. Ryan Sr. and Ethel Reed Ryan. She was also preceded in death by her brother, H.T. "Bunky" Ryan II.

She was a retired teacher from Bridge Elementary where she taught for over 27 years. She had three loves in her life, her family, her friends and her school. Obyra cared for each of her students, family and friends and gave us each her all. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Elkview.

She was a proud 1953 graduate of Elkview High School and earned her BS degree from West Virginia State College.

Obyra is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert E. Morris; children, Debbie Khoury of Charleston and Mark Morris of Coraopolis, PA; three grandchildren, Anne Marie Khoury, Elias Khoury and Joseph Khoury all of Charleston; two great-grandchildren, Autumn Khoury and Alana Leverne of Los Angeles, Ca; and her three sisters, Barbara Peterson of Berea, Ohio, Helen Simpson of Scottsdale, AZ and Patricia Orchanian of Mt. Juliet, TN.

Service will be 11:00 am Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Hafer Funeral Home, Elkview with Pastor Lee Swor officiating. Burial will be at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday, June 8, 2018 at the funeral home.
