Helen Maxine Harris, 85, of Elkview passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

She retired from the Adjutant General Office for the State of West Virginia. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Mabel Toothman and sisters, Ruth Dodd and Nellie Ferbee.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Joseph Harris; sons, Michael and wife, Kim, Douglas and fiancé, Jill, Chester and wife, Sharon, Jeffrey and wife, Stefanie; grandchildren, Matt, Ashley, Amanda, Samantha, Michael, Ben and Jessica; six great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Riley and Irene Deakins.

Service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Hafer Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the funeral home.
