Condolence From: Eddie Martin
Condolence: This message is well past Rev Woods' funeral service, and I do not know if anyone will ever read it, but I wanted to say something about this man. I am one of those people he touched as others have mentioned. I saw him only once, but he made quite an impression on me. He preached at my grandfather's funeral in 2002. My grandfather was Walter O. Martin, and Rev Woods apparently had a working relationship with him when he was driving trucks for Pennzoil. Never have I heard a preacher cite scripture from memory as this man did. His delivery was just stunning. I would have loved to have been able to sit down and talk with him about my grandfather and life in general. I'm sorry that opportunity is beyond reach now.

Condolence: Mr. Woods, I have to say that your preaching had a special annointing on it and I felt the Holy Spirit through the revival meetings you had. I loved listening to your messages.
One day we will meet again face to face. Thank you for following the Lord's leading to preach His Holy Word.
May the Lord of all peace fill your family until we all meet again.

Condolence From: Beth Moore
Condolence: My heart and deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Hubert. during this difficult time. I know the heartbreak and pain of losing a loved one in death so I wanted to take a moment to share an encouraging scripture that gives me much hope. 1 Corinthians 15:26 "And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing." When we lose someone in death our heavenly Father sees the pain we feel and he promises to very soon do away with this wicked enemy of ours once and for all. And then he promises the most beautiful hope, to bring back to life all our dear loved ones and to reunite them with us again! What a beautiful promise of comfort and hope and how we long for that truly special day so close at hand.

Condolence: I AM THE HUSBAND OF JANET TAYLOR (DELORES HUFFMAN'S BEST FRIEND. THEY ARE SO CLOSE IT'S ALMOST UNBELIEVABLE. WHAT A GREAT RELATIONSHIP!
I HAD THE PLEASURE OF VISITING REV. WOODS' HOME 4 TIMES WITH EACH VISIT LASTING 3-4 HOURS.
I GOT TO KNOW HIM QUITE WELL. WHAT A VERY SPECIAL MAN-ONE OF THE FINEST I HAVE EVER MET.
REV. WOODS HAD A TREMENDOUS CAPACITY FOR KINDNESS, GENTLENESS AND HUMILITY THAT I HAVE WITNESSED IN VERY FEW PEOPLE.
REV. WOODS WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN BY THE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WHOSE LIVES HE TOUCHED DURING HIS 50-PLUS YEARS OF "OLD TIME" PREACHING.

Condolence: There are so many wonderful things a person could say about Rev. Woods. I’ve known him since I was very young and went to school with Charlotte and Delores. I think all of us kids attended his church on Pinch Ridge many times. He was so good to visit my dad when he was sick at home and dad always looked forward to his visits. I know his family will miss him as well as many others but I also know he is where he has longed to be for years along with his wife. He will be missed by many and touched so many hearts over the years.
God Bless this wonderful family with special prayers.

Condolence: My heart is breaking as and rejoicing as I know heaven has received another soul. Hubert was such an influence on our lives as we grew up in Quick, always a kind word, gentle voice & a word of God. The door was always open if you went to the Woods home, with a welcome smile and time for you. Love and his humble living, showing and telling of God's way, walking in the way of Jesus. We know Hubert is where he longed to be. Thank you for your teachings to us by the way you lived. May God give peace to the family in this time, my love is with you all.

Condolence: My mother, Geraldine (White) Ketter, grew up with Hubert and Leola. Dad was telling me about the first fishing trip he and Hubert had together and what a great time they had. What a great man Hubert was with his love of the Lord and his soft spoken ways. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
