Rome Wesley Morris, 84, of Kenna passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018.

He was a retired Pipe and Trade Local 625 and attended Ripley Church of the Nazarene. Rome was avid hunter who looked forward to the family getting together during hunting season at the family camp.

Rome is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Juanita Morris; parents, Arthur Charles Morris and Olive Shinn Morris; brothers, Charles A. Morris, Howard Morris, Dallas Morris, Garland "Poch" Morris; sister, Mary Foster; grandchildren, Timothy Morris.

He is survived by his daughters, Danna Jo (Doug) Hartwell of Liberty, Trena (John) Brown of South Charleston; sons, Gary "Butch" Morris of St. Albans and Randy (Denise) Morris of St. Albans; brothers, Delbert "Bub" Morris of Sissonville, Ronald "Babe" Morris of Hedgesville; nine grandchildren and 11great grandchildren.

Daddy loved the Lord more than anything which was evident in his daily life. He took every opportunity to be a witness of the love and saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

He enjoyed helping and doing for others. Whenever someone needed help he was always there.

Service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Hafer Funeral Home with the Rev. Kristopher Powell officiating. Burial will be in the Morris Cemetery, Quick.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the funeral home.
