Charles "Gary" Mason, 74, of Elkview passed away Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 at his residence with his family by his side.

He was a retired carpenter from Local 1207, having retired from Kanawha County Schools. Gary was a child of God, being saved on March 17, 1974 and was a faithful member of Sandy Grove Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Mason and Ruby Gay Fields Mason; brother, Jr Mason; sisters, Linda Noel and Clara Mason.

Gary has been in love with his wife, Barbara Ann Breedlove Mason, for 50 years; sons, Chris Mason and wife, Kim, Curby Mason and wife, Amy; brother, Jimmy Mason; sisters, Connie Mason Fleck; Lisa Mullins; grandchildren, Zach Mason, Rayne Mason, Seth McNeely; and all his nephews and nieces which were special to Gary.

Service will be 11:00 am Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 at the Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Pettry officiating. Burial will be at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.

Visitation will be 7-9 pm Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017 at the funeral home.
