Obituary for Emmett Wayne Stutler

Emmett Wayne Stutler, 64, of Charleston passed away Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was a devoted, husband, father, and Papaw Emmett. He had a great love for his family and many friends. He was a retired welder for Mountaineer Fabricating and was a member of Elk River Church of the Nazarene. Emmett was a member of the Beni Kedem Shriners of Charleston, Clown Unit, Charleston Masonic Lodge 153 AF&AM, and Scottish Rite in Valley of Charleston. He also had a great love of fundraising for the Capital High School Band with bingo from 1993 until 2000, in support of his three daughters. He was a avid hunter, fisher, and enjoyed going to his camp.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Rosalee Stutler; daughter, Tonya Stutler, and brother, Eddie Stutler.

Emmett is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Barbara Carter Stutler; daughters, April Scott, Tabitha Stutler and Crystal Stutler; father, James E. Stutler; sisters, Connie (Terry) Lucas, Debbie (Joey) Bailey; grandchildren, Kalaya Stutler, Brayden Scott, Peyton Scott, and many nieces and nephews.

Service will be 11:00 am Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 at Elk River Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Randy Ledsome and Pastor Richard McCallister officiating. Burial will be in the Surface Cemetery, Charleston with Masonic Graveside Rites.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017 at the Elk River Church of the Nazarene.
