Opal L. Sigmon

Opal L. Hinkley Sigmon, 87, of Poca, formally of Little Sandy, Elkview, went home to be with the Lord Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Putnam Center, Hurricane.

Opal was born in Putnam county to the late Homer and Ethel Hinkley. She was a very loving daughter,
sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed cooking and gardening, and was always willing to help others in need.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 14 years, Fred Sigmon; brothers, Leslie Hinkley, Ira Hinkley, Richard Hinkley, and Charles Hinkley.

She is survived by her sister; Lugean (Clarence) Jenkins; two special nieces, Regina and Renee; two nephews, Junior and Alan; great nephews, Layne, Jake, Tanner, and Garrett, and many more family and friends.

The family would like to send a special thank you for the care and love given to Opal by the staff of Putnam Center and to Hospice Care.

A service will be begin at 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Hafer Funeral Home, with Pastor Jerry Young officiating. Burial will follow at Hughart Family Cemetery, Little Sandy Creek.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, October 30, 2017 at Hafer Funeral Home.
