Cora Ann Meadows, 81, of Elkview went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 25, 2017 at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
She was retired from CAMC where she worked as a phlebotomist. Cora was a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Elkview, where she served in the nursery and other ministries for over 50 years.
Cora is preceded in death by her dad, Charley James Buckland, her mom Violet Marie Buckland, her sisters, Joyce Marie Adkins, Ruby Ellen Gwinn, Mary Carol Meadows, two infant sisters, Linda Sue and Donna Kay Buckland.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Neil Meadows and wife, Helen of Elkview, Dean Meadows and wife, Hope of Elkview, and daughter, Lori Ann Meadows of Elkview. Six grandchildren, Nikki (Chris)Parker, Josh (Caitlyn) Meadows, Justin Barnhouse, Zachary (Meranda) Meadows, Brook (Eric) Chapman, and Seth Meadows; nine great grandchildren, Marcus, Elijah, Titus, Brody, Mason, Lincoln, Aspen, Caius and Jackson; brother, Charles "Tony" Buckland, sister, Lula Mae Ward. Also several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Service 3:00 pm Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Pastor Lee Swor officiating. Burial will be at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.
Visitation will be 1-3pm Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Elkview.
