Billy "Bill" Lee Lucas

Billy "Bill" Lee Lucas, 85, of Elkview, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and a friend to many passed away Wednesday, Oct 11, 2017 at his residence with his family by his side.

He was retired Vice President of Merchandise Distribution for Stone and Thomas and served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Bill attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Elkview

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alden Lee Lucas and Thelma Hall Lucas Epling; grandparents, Fred and Effie Hall of Oak Hill; In-laws Basil and Syble Melton of Elkview

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Peggy Lucas, daughters, Cynthia (Craig)Hamrick, Lisa (Mark) Burgess of Elkview; sisters, Shirley Gibson of Charleston, Carol (Paul) Mollohan of Pinch; grandchildren, Jason (Ashley) Hamrick, Christina (Michael) Baber, Melissa Hamrick and fiancé Keith Gilbert, Lucas Wagoner; Meredith (Rhett) Haley, Garrett Burgess; great grandson, Rowan Haley.

Service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017 at the Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Swor officiating. Burial will be at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice caregivers Brittany, Amanda, Ambre, and Jenny. And a special thank you to Amedisys Home Health Care worker, Tiffany.
